Yoga practitioners will love the simplicity and functionality of this felted Yoga Mat Tote. A simple tie closure keeps it shut and the beautiful JUL rolled leather handle (make an I-cord handle if you like) makes it comfortable on the shoulder. For those archers among us, it was pointed out to me that this might also make a great quiver!
The pattern also includes instructions for two sizes of Everything totes. These totes have nice wide bases so you can pack a lot into them. Fold in the corners for a decidedly vintage travel bag, or fill it to the top. A zipper closure keeps your things from spilling out all over the tarmac.

Our flagship pattern! This pattern is perfect for a knit-along. The lace patterns are not difficult and flow from one to the other quickly as each pattern change is a milestone. It is named the Coloring Book Shawl because it uses colors and texture to fill in the triangle and chevrons.
The maroon version is knit using US size 3 needles and Wagtail mohair, the autumn colors version was knit using US Size 0 needles and Jaggerspun Superfine Merino, and the jewel toned versions also uses US size 3 needles and Jaggerspun Zephyr.

This shawl is knit from the neck down in five stitch bands: garter stitch, a simple eyelet lace, seed stitch, stockinette stitch and finally ending with a wavy Shetland Feather and Fan. It's a great learning piece and is also a good for "conversational" knitting for more experienced knitters who want a take along project.

The Lakeshore Shawl reminds us of the waves that gently lap at the shores of Michigan's inland lakes. The stitch pattern is a variation of the popular Shetland Feather and Fan. It differs in that it is worked in stockinette stitch and the decreases are placed on different rows than the
increases. The modifications give the shawl a more sophisticated look. Work it in white for a handsome bridal wrap.

A cuddly shawl for cool nights, stadium sitting, or even throwing over the back of the couch to brighten a room. As an added bonus, it is an easy pattern that makes a good class. Once early knitters understand how the shaping works and how to keep track of the increases, they can complete the shawl on their own, usually after just a two-hour class.
Skill level: Easy.
I never know what to do with the boucle I have, or the mohair. This pattern has solved my problem!

Named the nomad shawl for the wandering paths of the lace, this is a two-sided rectangular shawl making it perfect for draping with a twist and still having it look lovely.

Inspired by nature and the Estonian and Orenburg knitting traditions, this shawl is a joy to knit. Named for the leaves on the aspens in the Rockies, this is a nice project for gently shaded hand-painted yarn. We've used this pattern in the classroom, starting with a mini-version of the shawl in a day-long class. Most students were able to cast on for the full-sized version before the end of 6 hours.
Skill level: Intermediate.

My First Fair Isle Cap A006
What makes this a good first Fair Isle project? Several things, starting from the beginning: 1) it uses a simple one-color ribbing 2) the background color remains constant throughout 3) the patterns are simple with easily memorable repeats within each row 4) the number of colors are reduced - shading occurs using only two instead of three or more colors 5) the decreases are bordered by the background color to make it easier to see their location 6) the patterns in the crown use only one foreground color per pattern.
