Wicked is a great sweater to make in our own Lanas Puras Melosa yarn!
Wicked is the perfect sweater to add to any collection! The pattern includes instructions for a worsted weight and a lace weight mohair sweater. It also includes instructions for short sleeves, 1/2 sleeves, long sleeves and for adding a pocket... This pattern truly is a "choose your own adventure" knit, no matter what your skill level may be. Schematic is included for each version
Wicked is adaptable for any season as well as any body type, you can simply pick the version that will work best for you! It is knit from the top down and in the round. If you choose to add the pocket it is knit separately, then knit into the bottom of the sweater, requiring very little seaming and there is NO seaming for a pocketless version! The small cable detailing is beautiful and so easy to create - you don't even need a cable needle! |

Features
- WORSTED WEIGHT SWEATER:
- sizes: 28-31” (32-35”,36-39”,40-43”,44-47”,48-51”,52-55”)
- Yarn: LONG sleeve version:800 (800, 900, 900, 1000, 1000, 1100) yds; SHORT sleeve version:500 (500, 600, 600, 700, 700, 800) yds.
- Needles: 1 US 7(4.5mm) 32” circular needle OR needle size to obtain gauge; 1 US 7(4.5mm) circular, length of your choice (1 circular is needed for the body, both are needed for knitting the sleeves in the round. (if you prefer to knit in the round with doublepointed needles, you’ll also need a set of US 7 dpn’s)
- Gauge: 18 sts & 26 rows in St st = 4” on size US 7 (4.5mm) needles. (or size to obtain gauge.)
- LACE WEIGHT MOHAIR SWEATER:
- Sizes: 28-31” (32-35”,36-39”,40-43”,44-47”,48-51”,52-55”)
- Yarn for body with 1/2 length sleeve: 600 (600, 700, 700, 800, 800, 900) yds. lace weight mohair. (if you’d like to knit a long-sleeved version add 200 more yds. of mohair); yarn for collar: 40(40, 40, 40, 50, 50, 50) yds supermerino.
- Needles: 1 US 7 (4.5mm) 32” circular OR needle size to obtain gauge. (for knitting the collar); 1 US 4 (3.5mm) 32” circular OR needle size to obtain gauge; 1 US 4 (3.5mm) circular, length of your choice (1 US 4 circular is needed for the body, both are needed when knitting the sleeves in the round. (if you prefer to knit in the round with double-pointed needles, you’ll need a set of US 4 (3.5mm) dpn’s)
- Gauge: 24 sts & 28 rows in St st = 4” on size US 4 (3.5mm) needles. (or size to obtain gauge.)
Lanas Puras worsted weight yarn would be perfect for the worsted weight version of wicked!! Each skein had 215 yards so for the long sleeve version you would need 5(5,5,5,6,6,6) skeins. For the short sleeve version, you would need 3(3,3,3,4,4,5) skeins. We have other worsted weight yarns in the shop: Sheep Shop One, Jo Sharp Aran Cotton (this would be great for those who do not like wool) and we have some other new worsted yarns coming soon!
