Description   This project is a breeze to make and wear. Simple shaping and big needles make this an ideal first sweater project! Only basic knitting skills needed (knit, purl, increase, decrease). Tie-straps are made using a simple chain stitch. A great introduction to basic sweater shaping and pattern reading. Bottom border is knit in Garter stitch, body in Stockinette stitch, and top borders in 1x1 ribbing. We suggest Sheep Shop Two yarn. Needles: Size M/13 (9mm) crochet hook OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE Pattern Gauge: 10 stitches = 3" and approximately 26 rows = 5" in stockinette stitch.
