Inspired by a swatch for an introductory cable class, this cap is a nice introduction to cables and bobbles. The lower portion of the cap is knit in a strip and joined to resemble a headband, then stitches are picked up around and decreased for the crown. An i-cord accent finishes up the bottom edge.

Becoming a sock knitter helps when you have a good pattern as a basis. This pattern not only teaches how to make a basic sock, but analyses fit from the top down and discusses simple ways to "make a sock your own." Perfect for classes, included are a diagram labeling the parts of a sock and a list of sock lengths according to shoe size.

A quick and easy way to show off your Fair Isle knitting skills. Peerie means “small” in Orkney. These are the patterns traditionally used to set off the larger patterns in sweaters and other garments. While our intent is for knitters to place colors where they want to place them, we have included a full-color chart to duplicate one of the socks pictured as well as a color your own chart. You choose whether to have a matching pair, or a pair that just coordinates and makes you grin with silliness!
Skill level: Experienced.
Sizes: 7.75", (8.4"), and (9") in circumference. Length before working heel: from top of sock, approx. 6". Length from back of heel to tip of toe, approx. 9.25". See notes about sizing socks for custom fit.
