The Spiral top designed by Vladimira Cmorej of Vadis Designs is a very close fitting summer top made of one long knitted strap formed and seamed into a spiral by using a single crochet seam.

MATERIALS: MC: 4 (5, 5) each approx 197yd / 180m, of fingering weight wool, acrylic, cotton or blend yarn (sample shown in 100% Egyptian cotton); CC: approx 55yd / 50m of worsted weight acrylic, wool or blend yarn in cream white or choice of color for seams; 1 pair US 1.5 / 2.5mm straight needles; 1 pair US 7 / 4.5mm straight needles - used just to test the gauge of CC; 1 crochet hook US I-9 / 5.5mm; Tapestry needle, Cable needle, Stitch markers; Decorative pin or button approx 1.5“ / 3.5cm
GAUGES: 24 sts and 34 rows = 4”/10cm in Stockinette stitch with MC and US 1.5 / 2.5mm needles; approx 18 sts and 24 rows = 4”/10cm in St st with CC and US 7 / 4.5mm needles
