We are happy to have this gorgeous new knit kit designed by Ilga Leja. Very soon, you will see all of Ilga's patterns on our site, along with many knit kits. Many of her designs are done in Hand Maiden or Fleece Artist yarns.
One of the most exotic, eye-catching finds on any beach is the sea anenome, otherwise known as the “sea urchin”.
The equally decorative and eye-catching Sea Urchin summer top is worked sideways in the Wave Stitch. As the final step, the lower border is picked up and knitted downward to the length which suits you best.
Complete knit kit includes Ilga's beautifully written pattern and 2 skeins of HandMaiden Sea Silk (70% silk and 30% "seacell") yarn to make size XS-L. We have a selection of sea silk colors for you to choose and we will be adding more specifically for this kit. The color "thrift" is a special color that HandMaiden created for us that is similar to the color shown in the pattern. It isn't the same yarn, but a similar color.
