Description   We sold out of the patterns for this kit very quickly.  We ordered more and they will be coming soon.  Thanks for your patience.  We have more "salt spray" woolie silk as well as some other new colors on order too! We are happy to have this gorgeous new knit kit designed by Ilga Leja in Fleece Artist Woolie Silk. Very soon, you will see all of Ilga's patterns on our site, along with many knit kits. Many of her designs are done in Hand Maiden or Fleece Artist yarns.   At home on the beach, the Mermaid can be seen sporting among the waves. When a light cover-up is needed, she wears her beach poncho. The intriguing openwork stitch pattern reflects the fluid transparency of her watery home. Worked in two identical rectangles which are then sewn together to create the poncho, this is a satisfying and quick-to-accomplish knit. From beach to patio, the Mermaid can transform into evening wear. Here the laced seam is worn behind the shoulder, giving the poncho a different shape and style. Photo is shown in "Salt Spray" colour. Complete knit kit includes Ilga's beautifully written pattern and 2 skeins of Fleece Artist Woolie Silk 3 ply (65% wool, 35% silk) in your choice of color to make size Small Add 1 skein for size Medium/Large Add 2 skeins for size XL **This poncho would also be lovely knit In Fleece Artist Sea Wool (70% merino, 30% seacell).
