Melissa Wehrle is the Creative Director for One Planet Yarn and Fiber. For her full-time day job, she works as a contemporary designer for a sweater manufacturer company in New York. Melissa attended the knitwear program at the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology and graduated in 2002.
She has designed patterns for Stitch n Bitch Nation, Magknits, Hipknits and Sundara Yarn. She also has several patterns for sale on her website.
We are very fortunate to have Melissa as an integral part of the One Planet Yarn and Fiber team. She is responsible for pattern line development and working with our design team to make sure all of our patterns conform to our high standards. You can be assured that when you purchase a pattern that was developed by One Planet Yarn and Fiber, it has been carefully tested and edited. Many overlook this but when you are investing in a great deal of money to buy yarn for a project, it is extremely important that the pattern be carefully formatted and edited by professionals in the knit wear industry.
