Yarn/Pattern Suggestions

A pretty scarf featuring a highly-textured lace pattern which extends to all edges, creating beautifully irregular selvedges and hems. Left unblocked, the lace will be more deeply textured with less openwork. A great stitch pattern to feature fine handspun yarn. May be worked in finer yarn on smaller needles; doing so will result in a narrower version. Width may be added by increasing stitch count in increments of 13 sts.

Yarn requirements: approximately 300 yards of soft fingering weight yarn - We have many beautiful yarns that are perfect for this pattern. Here are some to consider. Hand Maiden Sea Silk or other lace or fingering yarns by Hand Maiden, Fleece Artist Sea Wool, Yarn Botanika Radiance merino and tencel, Lanas Puras Melosa lace weight or fingering weight plus many of the Indie Yarn company yarns are lace weight or fingering weight
Gauge: 26 sts and 34 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch (unblocked; fabric will be relaxed)
Needles: US size 6 (4mm) or size to obtain gauge; a needle with a slender, tapered point is highly recommended
