A beautiful stole or scarf in an unusual lace pattern.  Instructions are given for both the stole and the scarf.  This pattern works beautifully for handpainted yarns.  The directions are for a yarn with 6 stitches/ inch gauge in the pattern stitch.  The yarn used in the photo was a lace weight hand painted yarn but fine fingering weight yarns could also be used.
