Description Yarn/Pattern Suggestions   A beautiful stole or scarf in an unusual lace pattern.  Instructions are given for both the stole and the scarf.  This pattern works beautifully for handpainted yarns.  The directions are for a yarn with 6 stitches/ inch gauge in the pattern stitch.  The yarn used in the photo was a lace weight hand painted yarn but fine fingering weight yarns could also be used.   Features Finished Size: stole: approx 19” # 72”, blocked (or desired length) scarf: approx 11” # 56” blocked (or desired length) Yarn Requirements: Stole: approximately 700 yards, Scarf: approximately 350 yards Needles: size 7 straight or circular or size needed to obtain gauge Gauge: 6 stitches per inch unblocked, 5 stitches per inch after blocking, length is approximately 45(60)" before blocking yarn
