Description Yarn/Pattern Suggestions   This generous shawl or scarf knits up quickly into a lightweight, warm garment meant to be wrapped several times, replacing the need for a bulky jacket. Throughout the pattern, steps to complete the two sizes are the same. Where numbers differ, those for the shawl are indicated first; those for the scarf follow in parentheses: shawl (scarf).Width may be changed by adding or subtracting stitches in increments of 15; each additional repeat of the pattern will add approximately 4” to the final blocked width and 4.5” in length.   Features Finished Size (blocked): Shawl: 18” W # 84” L Scarf: 12” W # 64” L Final measurements are dependent on yarn/needle choices; finer yarns and smaller needles will reduce the overall dimensions, while heavier yarns and larger needles will increase the size Yarn Requirements: For DK weight yarn, approximately 850 yards for a shawl and 450 yards for a scarf.
