Description   Beautiful and highly adaptable shawl pattern to different weights of yarn to obtain different shawl sizes. This shawl is shown in three sizes Tall(Petite, Mini) and may be worked in different yarns/stitch count to obtain the desired size. To change shawl size, increase or decrease stitch count by a multiple of 18. Final size will vary according to yarn selection and needle size. Heavier yarns and larger needles will produce a larger shawl, thinner yarns and smaller needles will produce a smaller one. Swatching to find the desired gauge and fabric for each yarn is highly recommended.   Features Finished Size (blocked): Tall: 78"2 W x36" L, petite 68" W x 31"L, mini: 28"W x 13"L Yarn Requirements using fingering weight yarn: Tall: 1200 yards, Petite: 1000 yards Mini: 200 yards - We have many beautiful yarns that are perfect for this pattern. Here are some to consider. Hand Maiden Sea Silk or other lace or fingering yarns by Hand Maiden, Fleece Artist Sea Wool, Yarn Botanika Radiance merino and tencel, Lanas Puras Melosa lace weight or fingering weight plus many of the Indie Yarn company yarns are lace weight or fingering weight. Also consider any of the handspun yarns for this or your own handspun! You basically can use any yarn and adapt the pattern. Gorgeous in our Black Pearl Yarns cashmere yarn or our new Lanas Puras Clarissa cotton and merino yarn. Gauge: 24 sts and 32 rows = 4"(10)cm in stockinette stitch on size 6 (4mm needles) Stitch Markers: multiple stitch markers may be needed to separate repeats of lace pattern Needles: Size 6 (4mm) or size to obtain gauge. For top edge, use a needle two sizes smaller than the body needle; a DPN in the same size may be desired.
