Designer Jacquelyn Landry gained much of her experience behind a sewing machine, learning all the ins and outs of garment construction and what works on different body types. She was taught to crochet by her grandmother at an early age, and finally gave up on finding someone to teach her to knit and taught herself. Make sure to read Jacquelyn's blog.
"I'm really inspired by vintage fashion and the way it caters to a woman's curves, both great and small. My ultimate design goal is to be able to knit something that feels as good on your body as it looks. People look their best when they feel good about themselves, and whether or not they realize it everyone has something going for them. They key is to learn to embrace who you are and discover what that magic something is, and then translate that into knitwear that works in your day to day life. My designs are geared to take out the guesswork. They are a marriage of classic elegance and practicality sometimes with a healthy dose of sass thrown in for fun."
