Description Yarn/Pattern Suggestions   This is beautiful cashmere sock yarn from HipKnits in England.  This is a fine fingering weight, 100% cashmere yarn.  Each skein has a very generous 750 yards or 685 meters of yarn!  One skein of yarn will easily knit a pair of socks or a scarf or small shawl.  Penguin has shades of gray.  This would make a beautiful shawl or scarf. You might think the skein is expensive, but look at the yardage! This is a very reasonable price for 750 yards of hand painted cashmere yarn.   Features Fiber Contents: 100% Cashmere Fine fingering Colorway: Penguin Yardage: 750 yards or 685 meters Gauge: 7.5 on size 2.5 mm needles (between a US 2 and US 3 needle). Note: In the US, we don't have a 2.5 mm size needle which is what the gauge swatch was knit on. A 2.5 mm needle is between a US 1 and a US 2, but this can also vary by brand. The lesson learned is if gauge is important to your pattern, always knit a gauge swatch and follow the directions of your pattern.
