Description   Hip Knits Aran Silk in Majestic- This is a beautiful 100% silk yarn in worsted/aran weight.   Each skein has 180 meters or yarn or approximately 197 yards.  The knitting gauge is approximately 18 stitches and 24 rows across 10 cm/4 inches on size 5 mm needles.  It takes about one skein of Aran silk to knit a scarf, a hat or a small bag and about 4 or 5 skeins to knit an average size adult sweater.
