This shawl is knit from the neck down in five stitch bands: garter stitch, a simple eyelet lace, seed stitch, stockinette stitch and finally ending with a wavy Shetland Feather and Fan. It's a great learning piece and is also a good for "conversational" knitting for more experienced knitters who want a take along project.

Features

Gauge: 22 sts + 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch.
Yarn: Sport weight (14wpi) color A - 110 yards/101 meters, color B - 130 yards/120 meters, color C - 165yards/150 meteres, color D - 185 yards/170 meters and color E - 370 yards/340 meters.
Needles and notions: US size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles 24" (60cm) or longer or size need to obtain gauge. Locking stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, blocking pins, tape measure.
