Description Yarn/Pattern Suggestions   This lovely knitted stole pattern can be knit in many different widths-a narrow neck scarf, medium width shoulder wrap, a wide shawl, and as a sofa throw.   The stole is knit as a single piece, with the repeateing pattern stitch making its own pretty edgings.  The lace design is reminiscent of the leaves and buds on a vine hanging vertically over a balcony railing.  It can be knit in any fine yarn-lace or fingering weight.   Features Pattern Difficulty: Intermediate You will need approximately 350 yards (narrow neck scarf), 550 yards (wider neck scarf), 900 yards (shoulder wrap), 1150 yards (shawl), 1500 yards (wide shawl) or 1800 yards )sofa throw depending on the style you are making. Size 6 US (4.0 mm) needles. For the wider styles, use a 24" to 32" circular needle. Gauge-Average of 4.5 st/ inch and 6 rows per inch over lace pattern after blocking under tension.
