This is a beautiful and unusual yarn from HandMaiden called flaxen. Flaxen is spun from 65% silk and 35 % linen. This is a wonderful fiber blend for spring and summer lace, light tops and more. The fiber dyes differently from pure silk due to the linen content and the resultant look has an unusual almost tweed effect.
Each skein weighs 100 grams and has 250 meters/273 yards of yarn. The gauge is 24 stitches over four inches on size US 3.5 (3 mm) needles.
