Description

This scarf was knit from one precious skein of buffalo-down yarn and named for the Lakota holy woman also known as White Buffalo Woman. Just as Ptesan-Wi taught the Lakota people many skills they needed to survive, this scarf will improve your lace knitting with stunning results. The scarf can be knit w/ either lace or fingering weight yarn of your choice! Designed by Chrissy Gardiner for Gardiner Yarn Works

Features

Size: as shown, 8.5” x 60” after blocking
Difficulty: intermediate
Yarn Requirements: laceweight or fingering-weight yarn, approx 350 yds (We have a number of fingering and lace weight yarns that would be lovely for this shawl. Check out our Indie section, Handmaiden Sea Silk, Fleece Artist Italian Silk or Suri Blue, and Lanas Puras Melosa, fingering weight and lace weight yarns)
Gauge: approx 22 sts/32 rows = 4” in stockinette st on size 6 (4mm) ndls (gauge is not critical for this project)
