This is a cute pattern for a child's hat called The Flyer.  It fits children that are approximately 6 months to 2 years of age.  The yarn shown in the pattern is color G123 for the hat and color F72 for the earflaps.  Of course you can use any color combination or all one color.  This hat knits up quickly in the bulky weight Sheep Shop 2 yarn.
