Clarissa is our new yarn from Lanas Puras. We are incredibly excited about Clarissa. It takes the lovely and pure softness of our Uruguay merino and blends it with light weight, breathable cotton. Clarissa is a 50% cotton, 50% merino cotton comfort yarn. Clarissa still has incredible artisan appeal because it is hand painted and has a very slight thick and thin texture to it. It knits up into a soft light fabric perfect for spring, summer or fall sweaters, tops or shawls. Clarissa is perfect year round for those who prefer a more breathable fabric. The knitting weight is a DK gauge, and each skein has substantial yardage at approximately 250 yards.
Currently Clarissa comes in 11 beautiful colors. The dye process results in a subtle and beautiful "tweed effect".
