The base kit is for the short-sleeved version of the sweater in Black Onyx. If you would like another color, please email us with your color preference to discuss stock status before you purchase. For the long-sleeve version, you will need one more skein of yarn for sizes XS,S,M,L,XL and 2x and two extra skeins of yarn for the size 3X.

Each kit includes 4 skeins of Black Pearl DK Cashmere, in Black Onyx, for a size XS (30" Chest) or Small sweater (34"Chest) and a complimentary pattern download.  

• For sizes Medium (36"Chest) and Large (38"Chest): add one skein of yarn.
• For sizes X-Large (44"Chest) and X-Large (44"Chest): add two skeins of yarn.
• For size 2x (48"Chest) and a size 3X (50" chest); add three skeins of yarn to the kit.

• The recommended yarn is Black Pearl Yarns Cashmere in DK weight. The color shown is Black Onyx, but we can substitute for you depending on what we have in stock.  One recommended yarn substitute is Artesano Yarns fine alpaca, either Inca Mist or Inca Cloud.
  
  You need 800(800,1000,1000,1200,1400,1400) yards for size XS(S,M,L,XL,2x,3x) for the short sleeve version.  For the long sleeve version, make sure to add on and additional 200 yards for sizes XS-2x and 400 more yards for size 3 x.
  
  For Inca Mist, ( 130 yards per ball) you will need:  7(7,8,8,10,11) balls of yarn.
  For Inca Cloud ( 130 yards per ball) you will need:  7(7,8,8,10,11) balls of yarn.
