Stylish shaping and patterning on this vest is reminiscent of a gentleman's tailored waistcoat. Intarsia shapes on the front echo the striping created with self-patterning (or vareigated) yarn on the back.  Applied I-cord on all the edges provides the finishing touches for this waistcoat.

• Although the pattern calls for self-patterning sock yarn, any of the Bees Knees Knits patterns would also look beautiful with multi-color handpainted yarns mixed with solid yarns.
• We have many fingering weight yarns on the site including the Lanas Puras Fingering, the Yarn Botanika yarns and many of the yarns from the Indie companies. -1 pair 2.5 mm needles-Note, must US companies don't have a 2.5 mm needle.  Use a US # 1.
-1 pair 3 mm needles-Note, most US companies don't have a 3 mm needle.  Use a US # 2.

-3 mm double pointed needles
-5 stitch holders
-4 split ring stitch markers
